Camp Thunderbird
This is a cooperative partnership between Duke Energy, Camp Thunderbird YMCA, and Energy Wise Solutions to help plant the seed in our youth for hope and understanding of a Clean Energy Future. The bar graphs below illustrate energy production directly from the Sun over different intervals of time (hourly, daily, and monthly). We can all make smarter (less wasteful) choices for energy use. This relatively small solar system combined with smart design and less wasteful use could provide enough energy for a small home. We hope you will help spread the word toward making better energy choices.
Weather data has been added to help understand the effects of Insolation (direct sun intensity), temperature at panels (TmpMdul), Ambient Temperature (TmpAmb- shade temperature), and wind speed (WindVel). This information can be compared in the following graphs to show how weather effects power output.
