A bit about the project:
The Athenian School
is an independent school that provides an engaging, challenging education on a beautiful 75-acre campus at the base of Mt. Diablo, in Danville, CA east of San Francisco.
Athenian's philosophy is guided by a strong belief in the promise of young people to shape a better world. Its vibrant educational community offers an outstanding and multifaceted curriculum and also teaches young people to think critically and to approach learning with curiosity and resourcefulness.
Athenian, a member of the Round Square School organization, is a community that strives to uphold the ideals of democracy, responsibility and citizenship. Students are challenged intellectually, creatively, personally and socially, so that when they graduate, they are well prepared for the demands of higher education and for a life of purpose and personal fulfillment.
The Center for the Arts (CFTA) building houses the School’s theater and art programs and is the third solar project undertaken by the school. The array consists of 86 ET Solar 250 watt modules (21.5kW) and 3 SMA inverters. Athenian is an EPA Green Power Partner.
