At the time of finished construction this 33.0kW grid connected photovoltaic (PV) energy system was the largest in Northern Alberta and second largest in the province,
This system was constructed for the Brentwood Family Housing Society on their newly constructed apartment building which also features geo-thermal heating, solar domestic hot water heating, and super insulated building envelope,
The PV system was designed and constructed by Great Canadian Solar (http://www.greatcanadiansolar.com)
The PV modules are all Made in Canada from Heliene Canada (http://www.heliene.ca)
The PV modules also act as a solar shade for occupants living on the south side of the building
