Description:

Campbelltown City Council is proud to be able to reduce its carbon footprint with this grid connected solar panel system installed in 2009.

The 33kW system is made up of 165 panels, and creates around 45 MWh of electricity, or enough to power 15 efficient homes. This means a reduction of over 40 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year.

A row of angled panels can be seen at the Council Administration building showcasing the photovoltaic system, with the majority of panels mounted flat on the roof behind. Angled panels are also located on the Function Centre roof.

An information screen within the Council Administration Centre foyer provides live data on how much electricity is being created, as well as how much has been generated since the system became operational.
