Morton Family Solar
This is a system I designed for my family home in Belmont. The system now produces enough electricity to cover our needs. The system consists of:
  • (10) LDK 250W Monocrystalline Solar Modules
  •  SMA SB5000TL Solar Inverter
  • SMA Webbox
  • SMA Meter Pulse Counter
The system was originally commissioned in September 2008 as a 1kW unit.  The system performed very well with 100% reliability even through a house renovation and our family expansion.  In November 2011 it was updated to a 2.5kW array and a 5kW inverter with the intention of adding another 2.5kW of solar modules in the near future.

A SMA Meter Pulse Counter monitors the electricity consumption of the house so a comparison can be made between generation and consumption.
