Description:

The solar electric system on the Greenleaf City Hall is a result of the progressive and visionary mayor and city council of Greenleaf teaming with six other southwestern Idaho communities to receive a competitive Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant from the Idaho Office of Energy Resources totaling nearly one million dollars. The seven cities partnership selected Andersen Construction and Aurora Power & Design to install the solar electric systems on public buildings in all seven communities. The projects are connected to Idaho Power Company through net metering. The system is a 10.45 kW system that includes 38-275 watt solar panels that will produce clean renewable energy to reduce the City’s electric bill for many years to come.
