13 Evergreen ES-180 Panels on west face of house
SYSTEM COMPONENTS
Our system consists of 39 Evergreen ES-180 watt arrays. East roof exposure had 13 arrays at azimuth 90° with 20° tilt, south roof exposure had 13 arrays at azimuth 180° with 20° tilt and west roof exposure had 13 arrays at azimuth 270° with 20° tilt. Inverter is SMA 6000US with integral AC/DC Disconnect. Our system went on-line on May 31st 2007, and our web-box went on-line on June 10th 2007. Our system was installed in 3 short days by a highly skilled 4-man crew with Andy as foreman. We are very happy with the installation and performance of the system.SCE was out today (7-18-07) to reprogram our TOU-D-2 meter to record the excess power we generate. Hopefully by this time in August we will be selling our excess power we generate during on-peak times (10am to 6pm) to SCE at 0.26kwh and during off-peak times we will buy power from SCE at 0.09kwh.
Note for SCE customers with a TOU meter: If you place a magnet on the left side of the meter and run the magnet across ther meter to right side you will unlock a sub-menu displaying time of day and day of week among other things.
