This site is the location of the Fine/Katz household and the Sharon Fine Gallery (www.sharonfinegallery.com), an art gallery located less than a mile from the Bethesda Metro Station in Bethesda, Maryland. The photovoltaic system is comprised of fourteen Kyocera KD210GX-LP panels connected to a Sunny Boy 4000US inverter with a Sunny WebBox for monitoring and reporting via the Internet. In addition to the solar installation, the house/gallery has numerous energy efficiency optimizations, including Energy Star LED lighting from CREE, Energy Star manual venting skylights from Velux, and a highly reflective .080 TPO material over 1" of polyISO insulation on the flat portion of the roof. The roof and solar project was designed and installed by Banner Home Solutions of Mount Airy, MD.
