Description:

The solar system is installed on the City of Corvallis' Fire Station #4.  There are 15,510 W of solar panels that annually produce about 15,700 kW-hours of electric power - about half of the energy necessary to support the Station.  The system is comprised of 66, 235W Trina polycrystalline modules that feed into seperate sub-arrays, each with a Sunny Boy 7000 inverter..  Power is then combined and back fed into the main electrical system.  An SMA WebBox and monitoring system enables continuous performance monitoring.

The system was fully funded by a Blue Sky grant from Pacific Power and incentives from the Energy Trust of Oregon.

The system was commissioned May 24th, 2011, with internet monitoring available May 27th.
