Fernwood's Solar Installation
Fernwood is a botanical garden and nature preserve near Niles, Michigan USA. We provide a broad range of programs including environmental education for more than 5,000 school children and 25,000 visitors annually.
Our 20 photovoltaic panels can produce 1100 watts. A grid tie-in inverter (the red box in the above photo) made by SMA bridges this into our Visitor Center electrical service. A Sunny Boy Web Box sends power collection data to this portal site.
