Roberti Ranch

Welcome to the monitoring page for Roberti Ranch's Solar PV System.

Roberti Ranch, located in California’s Plumas Sierra County, produces approx. 8,000 tons of hay and raises over 400 head of cattle each year. The farm was established in 1923 and is run by Dave Roberti.

The PV System was designed by Cooperative Community Energy to offset the electric load of the 10 100-HP irrigation pumps used on the property, in order to bring down operating expenses.

The total rated DC output of the system is 580,230 watts, consisting of 2418 Trina 240w modules. The modules are mounted on single-axis trackers, which boosts the output of the array by over 25%. The module array covers approximately 3.38 acres.

The financials for this project are strong, with breakeven at about the 8-year mark. The value of the electricity produced is approximately $139,000 per year.
