Description:
Sunny backup system has been designed to be used in our office, using a SMA Sunny XL system with battery backup. During day light hours the PV system is used to feed our office in the event of a power failure and also provide our backup for our heating and hot water system, which we use solar thermal during summer times to provide heating and hot water. We are expecting to grow the system to 160 amp to totally run the system off grid during day light hours, where as a standard PV system will not work without the grid supply, we wil use the backup system as our grid supply.
