WIND TURBINE

Sopley Primary School's wind turbine is a Proven 6 kW unit. Proven is a Scottish company who have been making small wind turbines for about twenty years. Their 6 kW unit is known for its robustness and reliability. The wind turbine is situated at the edge of the school playing field.

SOLAR PHOTO-VOLTAIC SYSTEM

The school’s solar photo-voltaic (PV) system consists of 18 x 180w Solar panels. These are located on a south facing roof at the rear of the school. The rated output of the solar PV system is 3.24 kWp.
